Covid-19 Update – Allied Student Accommodation Ltd

With regards to the ongoing coronavirus, Allied Student Accommodation Limited will continue to review all tenancy agreements with students and agents on a case-by-case basis, we strongly encourage you to contact us to discuss your changing circumstances.

We appreciate this is a challenging time for students. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Following the announcement of the latest lockdown, we have been looking at what this means for our students & our operations.

We’re announcing a 50% rental discount for eligible students for a 6-week period from 4th January to 14th February 2021 (current lockdown period) This will be reviewed once more information from the government is shared.

Please read the below information carefully to understand if you are eligible and to find out what happens next.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

You will be eligible for this rent discount if:

• You have a tenancy agreement with Allied Students that falls within the 2020/2021 academic year.
• You pay your rent directly to Allied Students.
• You are not currently living in your Allied Students property.
• You do not move back to your Allied Students property between 4th January 2021and 14th February 2021.
• You do not have any outstanding rent payments on your account as at 31st January2021, in accordance with your payment schedule.
• You have emailed your site team requesting rent reduction
• You do not cancel or leave your contract during the rent discount period.

You are eligible if you have answered yes to all of the above.

Allied Student Accommodation Ltd reserves the right to exclude students from the Scheme that do not meet the eligibility criteria set out above

The rent discount will be applied to your Allied account by the end of March 2021.

Please note our standard cancellation policy still applies. International Students

• For those Students whose Contracts begin from January 2021 that are unable to travel due to flights to the UK being cancelled, contract dates will be adjusted accordingly, once travel ban is lifted & an arrival date arranged
• Those students whose contract hasn’t begun & cannot get a flight to the UK may cancel & receive a full deposit refund
• For those students whose contract had begun prior to 4th January, that are unable to travel currently will be entitled to 50% rental discount for a 6 week period from 4th January to 14th February 2021 (current lockdown period) This will be reviewed once more information from the UK government
